The Town of Crook

"A hundred or so years after the Witch King’s conquest, a ravenfolk called Brigit The Lost began documenting her travels across the Isle. Her writings were never published, but found their way through unknown means into the archive of the court poet to King Rolond II, where they were recently rediscovered. The following account is the first excerpt of the manuscript to be made public, translated as accurately as possible from Brigid’s shorthand notes, along with a map of the surrounding area copied from her sketches."

This is a system agnostic setting guide to the town of Crook and the surrounding wilderness. The town's residents, human and animal folk, have just survived a harsh winter to find a difficult spring ahead: hunger, unnatural blights, feuding faiths, and strange goats, to name a few of their troubles.
